A Centre of Education exclusively for women, FSWC has been a beacon of hope, support, training and Childcare for women in the Dungannon and South Tyrone Area (and further afield, there are no exclusions).

We provide training and education in many subjects including IT, Esential Skills Literacy (Basic English) & Numeracy (Basic Maths). Our pass rates are between 75% & 100%.

First Steps Women's Centre provides courses and has an on-site Childcare facility which is currently undergoing rennovation work to increase it's capacity from 10-16 places. 

We are a centre, exclusively for women, offering a wide range of courses on a weekly basis. We offer a full range of IT courses including Beginners IT, Digital Photography, Clait Certificate, ECDL, and now since November 2009, First Steps Women's Centre offers a host of Health Promotion programmes

We have introduced New courses for September 2010: Text Processing, e-Publishing, Digital Imaging & Technology for Technophobes!

In September 2009, First Steps Women's Centre had over 150 places available on IT related training courses and a further 55 places for Numeracy, Literacy, GCSE English, Maths and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
